Purple team service
[ PUBLISHED ]
Paranoid Security offers purple team testing as cyber exercises: an attacker-side specialist runs the exercise in real time with a dedicated SOC employee of the client.
How it runs, as published. The Paranoid specialist coordinates actions with a dedicated SOC employee of the client. Attack stages run in real time. The SOC is told of each action so that its detectability can be assessed, and gives feedback after each step. Detected and missed events are reviewed jointly, recommendations for tuning monitoring follow, and the SOC is trained under realistic conditions.
Who it is for, as published. Organisations with their own SOC, mature security teams, and teams that want to train SOC staff on new detection techniques in a controlled setting.
What is absent. The page publishes no duration, no framework (it does not mention ATT&CK), no tools, no scenarios and no retest. The provider’s separate red teaming service is described as based on the ATT&CK matrix and also assesses SOC readiness.
Evidence by criterion
Seven criteria, each rated in words. What the levels mean. A level describes what is published, not a finding that a capability is missing.
The steps of the cyber exercises are published, from real-time attack stages to a joint review of detected and missed events. No duration and no framework mapping are given. Source
Published service pages cover web, mobile, network and Wi-Fi testing, social engineering, awareness training, red teaming and cyber exercises. Source
The About page says the team works with clients in the UAE and beyond. No UAE regulatory mapping is published. Source
The exercises page itemises a report of actions performed and actions the monitoring did not record, an SOC readiness assessment and a plan to improve protection. Source
The red teaming page says every attack stage is structured with the ATT&CK matrix. The cyber exercises page names no framework. Source
The About page says the team is certified. It names no certification, accreditation or issuer. Source
A Paranoid specialist coordinates with a dedicated SOC employee, the SOC gets feedback after each action, detected and missed events are reviewed jointly, and monitoring tuning recommendations follow. A retest is not published. Source
Why this position
This list puts Paranoid Security first on one judgment. It publishes a live exercise with the client's own SOC, an itemised report and improvement plan, and it works with UAE clients. It also publishes original security research, such as a monthly Patch Tuesday analysis, and says its engagements are led by a senior specialist. Other providers in this list are ahead of it on published method, ATT&CK mapping, named credentials or UAE regulatory mapping, and the matrix above shows where. What held the case back is plain. No duration is published for the exercises, no framework is named for them, and no accreditation is named. A buyer who weighs those gaps more heavily than the points above should read the order differently.
The order is a reasoned judgment, not a sum of the levels. See how the order is decided.
